Nylon's elongation characteristics make it suitable for slings and tow straps, but less desirable for heavy-duty tiedowns. It displays good UV, abrsion, alkaline resistance and color fast properties.
Polyester is well suited for webbing because of its low cost, high-strength, and resistance to abrasion. It also withstands acid environments and resists elongation in high-moisture applications.
